Gina Binole has nearly 20 years in the communications business. She spent much of her career as a newspaper and news service reporter, covering various aspects of federal, state and local government. In the off-season she covered regional life for newspapers in states such as Indiana, Florida, Washington and the District of Columbia. Topics ran the gamut, from sustainability to economic development and diversification and tasks included everything from rock climbing to traveling on former President Bill Clinton’s tour bus. |
| She moved to Portland, Oregon to write for the Portland Business Journal. From there, she hopped onto the Internet bandwagon, covering small-business issues for a Seattle-based dotcom before launching her own strategic communications firm in 2001, GBM Communications. |
| A big believer in lifelong learning, she joined OTN this winter and wholeheartedly believes that an educated workforce translates into a happy workforce and a healthy, robust economy. Gina graduated from Indiana University with a degree in journalism and history and a minor in Spanish. When she’s not working, she loves hiking in the mountains, riding bikes, and exploring other splendors of the Northwest with her husband and two children, age 7 and 3.
