Strategic Sustainability for Leaders provides a solid grounding in The Natural Step’s sustainable planning process through hands-on exercises emphasizing participation and practical application.

The Natural Step offers a comprehensive, scientifically-based framework to answer the question “How do I know when my organization is sustainable?” and then move step-by-step toward the answer. Coupled with some of the latest work on the neuroscience of leadership development, this course provides a solid foundation for any leader striving to create change.

Prerequisites
Course Preparation
Upon receipt of your registration and payment you will be sent an introductory packet. This will include links to pre-requisite materials, a questionnaire to be completed and returned promptly, a detailed course outline, logistical information (accommodation options, etc.).
Participants are expected to have a general understanding of the basic components of The Natural Step Framework at the beginning of the course. This will allow us to quickly advance deeper into the core concepts of sustainability and to spend more time building hands-on skills. To ensure that all participants share common references and understanding, required pre-requisites include.

This course is essential if you plan to lead or actively participate in an effective sustainability program. It is structured to provide existing and emerging sustainability practitioners with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to effect sustainable cultural change within your organization.Sustainability impacts decision making throughout your operation: HR, IT, procurement, operations, distribution, facilities management, financial management, risk management and more.
